How To Read Our Betting Tips

Welcome to Ghost Betting Tips!

Now that you have signed up to the premium picks service, you will receive the bets via email. The picks will be sorted by event, bet, odds and how much to wager.

Here is an example of what the tips look like:

Example of our tips

Now, in case this looks a bit confusing, let’s break down how to read each term and number – we’ll use Memphis/Magic as the example.

Event to bet on

This represents the event to bet on. In this case, it’s an NBA game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic.

Market to bet

This is the bet to make. In this case, it relates to totals. You would bet on the Memphis/Magic game to finish with under 207.0 points

Betting odds

These are the best odds to make the bet at in the American Odds format. If you use Factional Odds or Decimal Odds to make your bets, use our Odds Converter to transform them into your preferred format.

You may or may not be able to get these odds exactly so try and get as close to this line as possible.

How much to wager

This represents how many units to invest in the play. In this case, we are investing 1.1 units. Click here to learn more about unit sizes and how they are calculated.

‘tp’ is an abbreviation of ‘to profit’ so this would read as ‘1.1u to profit 1u’.

This represents how much you would win from your investment. So in this example, investing 1.1 units would profit 1 unit.

So, now that you know this, you can apply it to the remaining selections:

Reading our picks
  • Event to bet: New York Knicks
  • Bet to make: Knicks to win on the point spread at +11.0
  • Odds to bet at: -110
  • How much to invest: 1.1 units
  • How much to win: 1 unit

And so on and so forth…

Hope this makes sense. If you have any questions, let us know on Twitter or via email [email protected].
